It seems like summer is just starting to kick in to high gear but, before you know it, it will be gone and that school bell will be ringing.

For kids all over the area that also means the alarm clock will too. Since I go to bed very early and my wife Kelli is not far behind, my daughter Emily has become the night owl of the house this summer.

We have given her no set bedtime and some days no time to rise and that has led to her getting a bit upside down on her schedule.

Summer seems to not only disrupt family sleep patterns but also meal times and everything else seems to get looser and looser as the lazy days of summer roll on.

The day after Labor Day is going to be a pretty big shock to the system in the Bryant household unless some changes are made prior.

Does summer also disrupt your family routine ? What do you do to get back into the swing of things when the reality of Fall roles around ?

If you can tear yourself away from the hammock for a few minutes I would love to hear your tips on preparing to hit Back to School time with a full head of steam.

 Happy Summer, Joe
