When I married my lovely bride Kelli in 1995 we vowed to stick together be it for richer or poorer and in sickness and in health.

While we are by no means rich we have more material wealth than the day we met so that Poorer one has yet to be tested. But for the last week I have certianly given the In Sickness part a workout.

Now I know that there are many people fighting life and death types of illness and I want to say that my prayers are with you and my recent weeklong stint of Bronchitis in no way compares to what many families have to go thru.

We have been blessed with good health for myself, Kelli, my daughter Emily and even our pets. I do however want to give my wife kudos for sticking with me during a week of sickness better than anyone possibly could have.

Instead of shutting me and my germs off in the guest room or the mancave she gave me the most comfortable spot in the house, "Her" side of the bed. Thats the one directly in front of the TV and closest to the facilities.

She constantly kept me hydrated, medicated, fed and comfortable without once complaining about me doing nothing except lay there.

She scrubbed the house from top to bottom and did all the store runs and kid commuting I am normally expected to help with.

I hope that we stay blessed with good health but I think that should "In Sickness" ever come to us again I know that Kelli will be there.

By the way, while we are on the subject of wedding vows I had it written into the deal back in '95 that I get to watch NFL Football every Sunday and fish as much as is possible.

Kelli has never once complained about me going to a football game or on a fishing trip. All that AND she happens to be the most beautiful woman in the world?

There is nobody that can tell me there is no God. I thank the good lord for all my blessings and especially for Kelli Bryant.

I hope everyone who reads this is as lucky as I am and, if you are take a moment to let your better half know it.

Also, If you wrote any unique conditions or permissions into your wedding vows I would love to hear about them.

  Cheers, Joe
