Was veteran sportscast legend Brent Musburger being a perv when he called attention to former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb in the crowd? He called her (gasp!): a beautiful woman, and went on to say "Wow, I'm telling you quarterbacks: You get all the good-looking women." Factual on both counts, and pretty respectful if you ask me.
For her part, the woman formerly-known as "the girlfriend" of University of Alabama quarterbrack A.J. McCarron says Musburger didn't owe her an apology, although he issued one.
And Webb's star is rising on the internet: two weeks ago she had 300 Twitter followers. Today she has over 233,000 (and climbing).
