The folks at Emerald City Comicon have announced that actor Chris Sarandon is coming to the Seattle event next year (March 1st - 3rd at the Washington State Convention Center). He will be appearing all three days!

Chris played Jack Skellington in the perennial favorite “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

He was also Prince Humperdinck in “the Princess Bride"...

In addition, he was Al Pacino’s boyfriend in “Dog Day Afternoon" (he recieved an Oscar nomination for the role), as well as the detective who chased Chucky around in “Child’s Play,” and my favorite vampire-next-door, Jerry Dandridge, from the original “Fright Night.”

I love that movie.

I can’t wait to moderate Sarandon’s panel at ECCC and help dig up the dirt on collaborators like Tim Burton, Al Pacino, Rob Reiner and all those Hollywood leading ladies over the years.

These panels are always fun and informative, with a lot of laughs, so I encourage you to attend. Plus it’s a great way to recharge before you hit the convention floor again.

It’s shaping up to be the best ECCC ever! Joining Sarandon will be  previously announced guests  Sir Patrick Stewart (“Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek The Next Generation, “Dr. Charles Xavier” from the X-Men films), Billy Dee Williams (“Lando Calrissian” from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), Walter Koenig (“Chekov” from classic Star Trek), Kristin Bauer (“Pam” from HBO’s True Blood), Gillian Anderson (“Agent Scully” from The X-Files), Chandler Riggs (“Carl Grimes” on AMC’s The Walking Dead), Adam West and Burt Ward (TV’s classic “Batman” and “Robin”), Dirk Benedict (“Faceman” from The A-Team, “Starbuck” from Battlestar Galactica), Danai Gurira (“Michonne” from The Walking Dead), and more! Many still to be announced. Keep your eyes peeled on the official Emerald City Comicon website, here.

See you there!
