I'm not crazy about politics on Facebook.
For the most part, my Facebook news-feed is full of cat videos, friend's photos, and updates on what is going on in their lives. And really that's all I want to know.
Recently, however, my news-feed was constantly being bombarded (spammed, really) by sensational, extremist, political rhetoric. It was coming from the friend of a friend of a friend. I was patient for a long time. And then, weary of the constant negativity, I decided to pull the plug on this friend of a friend of a friend. Ahhhhh. Sweet relief!
Did I do the right thing?
Here is my belief: Just as I am a guest in your home or office via the radio, Facebook friends are a guest in my news-feed. You can turn off the radio, or switch channels (please don't). And I can turn off any noise or "programming" that interferes with my overall enjoyment of Facebook.
My question for you is: How do you feel about politics invading your Facebook space? How do you handle it? Take our anonymous poll and see how you stack up against your friends and neighbors.
