Should've seen this coming. I mean, when you think about those classic James Bond songs with Shirley Bassey belting out the lyrics, there is really only one modern superstar with the lung capacity pull that off today: Adele.
After months of rumors, it has been confirmed that Adele will be the latest 007 songbird.
Now, I'm of the mind that there hasn't been a truly great 007 song in decades (View to a Kill might be the last memorable tune). But Adele seems like the perfect choice for the soundtrack of this latest franchise installment. I am hopeful that Adele will produce something for Skyfall that will impact me at least half as much as Goldfinger. That would be a win in my book.
