The Bee Gees, more than any other band or artist, personify the disco years. I was just a kid when disco took over the radio. At 8 or 9 years old, I didn't have a clue about the trappings of the era. I just knew the songs were catchy. And you could dance to them.

No one had more hit songs during that period than the Bee Gees. At one point, they dominated the charts with 5 of the top 10 songs in the country-at the same time. Top that, Katy Perry!

Robin Gibb passed away over the weekend after a long and very public battle with cancer. Here then, in memory of Robin, are a selection of some of my favorite Bee Gees songs. Robin takes the lead on the first one.

My heart goes out to Barry Gibb, who has now outlived all of his brothers. Each gone too soon. The Bee Gees are truly no more.
