Purple Reign & Phoenix Jones on the set of KING-TV's New Day NW.

Wednesday I spent the morning with a rock band and a pair of superheroes. I call that a good day!

Quickie, Purple Reign and Phoenix Jones appeared on KING-TV’s New Day Northwest. It was my first time backstage at a live television broadcast, and it was a lot of fun! Margaret Larson is a peach, in case you wondered. Very nice.

Quickie & I co-penned the “Phoenix Jones” anthem, which they performed for an enthusiastic studio audience. Someone even requested “Bikini Barista.” Too funny.

It was my first time meeting these costumed heroes as well. My take away? They may be the most normal people I've ever met! Costumed or not.

If there was any doubt that Seattle loves this bunch, the line of folks-young and old-asking for photos after the show put such thoughts to rest.
