It's one of my favorite things to do! My wife and I enjoy spring and summer in the Northwest. Thanks to the various cities, suburbs and islands that are close by, you can truly get away and clear your head-even if it's just for the day. My wife and I are cat people. Deal with it. I grew up in Spokane, listening to much of the music played on KJR's sister station at the time, KJRB. I'm not sure if that's when the "radio bug" bit me or not, but I started playing with tape recorders and turntables at a young age. And I wrote a lot of content: radio plays, short stories, comic books... So it's no wonder I write and produce as an adult! I've been in radio for over 20 years (gasp)! Doing everything on-air and behind-the-scenes in Spokane until I landed a job at the mighty KJR Seattle in '98. If you're a client of our fine station, there's a good chance my thumbprint is on your commercial. If you're a frequent listener? I'm sure you've heard me chattering or singing off-key.

I've made my passion for the music of the Beach Boys clear on the pages of this blog. They are to spring and summer what Bing and Nat are to Christmas. Forever linked with my favorite season, the Beach Boys set the tone for bright days of fun ...on the beach, in the car and with the one you love.

After decades apart, Brian Wilson has reunited with the Beach Boys for a 50th Anniversary tour-and a NEW ALBUM (due in June)! The title track, "That's Why God Made the Radio," is below.
